What amber unlocks
The October Q&A connects amber collection with New Game Plus modifiers. It describes one additional modifier opening at an interval of four amber collectibles. This is the explicit gameplay purpose established by the written developer source.
The four named modifier ideas are bodycam presentation, slippery surfaces, a stop-moving death challenge and low gravity. The developer also says modifiers can be combined. The New Game Plus guide covers those replay options separately from the question of where each amber is found.
An unlock interval is not a collectible total
The announcement names four modifiers and gives an interval of four amber. It does not provide a total number of amber pieces in the game. Multiplying those two figures is not enough to establish a complete collectible count.
The same source does not assign each named modifier to a particular threshold. A reward explanation can therefore state the interval without publishing an order table. Keep a confirmed rule separate from an inferred completion checklist.
Exploration is part of the level design
The Level Design devlog discusses exploration and hidden collectibles. This provides context for why players would look beyond straightforward traversal. It does not supply an item-by-item amber map.
A general statement about hidden objects should not become a specific location claim. A chapter label or a plausible-looking room name is not a documented pickup. The available sources support the exploration system while leaving exact amber positions unmapped.
Why a normal-play pickup route matters
A reliable location reference needs to connect an item to a reachable route in the relevant build. A visible object in an out-of-bounds showcase does not establish that players can collect it normally. The collected material does not cross-verify such a route for every amber.
This is why there is no numbered room checklist on this page. The research does not establish chapter coordinates, missable flags or replay behavior. Adding those details would create a more complete-looking guide without creating better directions.
Use the confirmed reward information now
Amber has an announced connection to replay modifiers, so its documented role is clear. The exact pickup positions are a different question from the reward rule. Use the New Game Plus page to understand the modifiers rather than mistaking that rule for a map.
The present article is a reward overview with a clearly limited location scope. It neither promises an all-amber route nor assigns unsupported item numbers. That keeps the known system usable while avoiding directions that could send you searching the wrong place.
