The reward is the Gameplay Demo
The September developer announcement ties the second demo section to finishing the first. The first section is the Story Demo, and the newly available section is the Gameplay Demo. That makes the reward additional trial content rather than an item that needs to be equipped.
The wording matters because “finishing the demo” can describe different stopping points. Here, the documented condition is finishing the story-led section. It should not be expanded into a separate reward for clearing every part of the trial.
Why the demo has two sections
The trial introduces a story-led part and a movement-focused part. Their unlock relationship gives a clear order: story first, then gameplay. You do not need to treat them as unrelated downloads to understand the progression described in the announcement.
The available research supports that sequence across the developer announcement and the collected coverage. It does not supply a menu-by-menu activation procedure or a hidden interaction required after completion. The important confirmed action is completing the first section.
New Game Plus has a different condition
The October 22 Q&A separately announces New Game Plus as a reward for beating the full game. That condition refers to campaign completion rather than the Story Demo. The two unlocks belong to different experiences and should not be combined into one progression claim.
A player who opens the Gameplay Demo has unlocked the second trial section. That is not evidence of access to the campaign’s replay mode. Similarly, information about full-game modifiers does not change the documented reward for the first demo section.
Do not mistake trial progress for campaign carryover
The collected evidence answers which section opens, but does not establish demo-to-full-game save transfer. It also does not confirm that demo collectibles or other progress are retained in the campaign. Plan around access to the second section, rather than treating the trial as a verified campaign save.
The distinction keeps the completion reward useful without attaching unsupported promises to it. An additional reward for finishing both demo sections was not verified in these notes. There is therefore no claimed cosmetic, achievement bonus or campaign advantage attached to that broader condition here.
Which page to use next
Use the Demo Walkthrough overview for the trial’s order and update context. Use the New Game Plus page for the separately announced replay mode and amber-linked modifiers. Each page concerns a different completion condition, even though both involve opening more ways to play.
For this question, the short answer remains the second demo section. Finish the Story Demo to unlock the Gameplay Demo. Nothing in the verified reward description requires interpreting a demo ending as the final ending of the full game.
