Beat the full game to unlock New Game Plus
The developer identifies full-game completion as the unlock condition. This places New Game Plus after the campaign, rather than after either trial section. It is an announced replay feature, not a reward established by demo showcase footage.
Keep the distinction in mind if you have already completed the Story Demo. That completion opens the Gameplay Demo, which is a different unlock. The Q&A’s New Game Plus statement concerns finishing the game itself.
Amber collection opens modifiers
The Q&A connects amber collectibles to replay modifiers. It describes an unlock interval of every fourth amber and names four modifier options. The collectible system therefore has a stated use beyond simply finding objects while exploring.
An interval is not a complete location list or an overall collectible count. The source does not assign a particular modifier to each threshold. Avoid treating the order in which the options are discussed as a verified unlock order.
The four announced options
Bodycam presentation is one of the named modifier choices. Slippery surfaces are another, changing the movement conditions described by the developer. These names communicate the announced ideas without specifying an exact camera model or friction value.
The other announced options are a challenge in which stopping movement causes death, and low gravity. Both fit the game’s focus on traversal and continued motion. The source does not provide an activation threshold, timer or numerical gravity setting for either option.
Modifiers can be combined
The developer says the modifiers can be used together. You therefore do not need to assume that choosing one permanently excludes the others. The confirmed point is combination, rather than a tested ranking of every possible setup.
No best combination is established by the collected notes. A setting that changes presentation is also a different kind of option from one that changes movement or the cost of stopping. Read the named effects as a menu of announced variations, not as a measured difficulty tier list.
What the announcement does not promise
The replay announcement does not establish save carryover, a level-select system or a specific difficulty increase. It also does not supply a campaign-wide amber route. Those features should not be assumed merely because other games use the New Game Plus label.
The rules above come from one explicit developer Q&A. The official Steam page supports the broader traversal-focused context, but is not an independent test of the modifier unlocks. Treat these as the studio’s announced rules and use the amber page for the separate collectible question.
