Terrible Lizards Demo Walkthrough — Two-Part Trial

Install the official free PC demo

Use the Terrible Lizards Demo page on Steam to install the trial. The demo has its own application identity and its own September 24 release date. It is separate from the full game’s store listing, so wishlisting the game is not the same action as installing the demo.

That distinction also helps when identifying the version in a video or written route. Check that the material actually refers to the demo you downloaded. A shared game name does not make a campaign guide interchangeable with a trial guide.

Play the Story Demo before the second section

The Story Demo is the first part of the documented trial structure. Completing it unlocks the separate Gameplay Demo, which focuses on movement. This is the clearest verified instruction for progressing from one section to the next.

The two sections should be treated as parts of the demo experience. Finishing the first is not a claim that you have finished the full story campaign. Likewise, reaching the end of the trial does not establish the events of the complete game’s ending.

Continue with the Gameplay Demo

The second section is the confirmed continuation after the Story Demo. Its movement focus gives the trial a different emphasis from the story-led opening. The available notes establish the unlock relationship without providing a complete objective list for that section.

Use that relationship when a guide seems to begin somewhere different from your current position. The author may be covering the other demo section rather than the same obstacle. Confirming which part you are in is more useful than copying a route whose scope is unclear.

Account for the v0.9.76 patch

The latest linked patch in the research is v0.9.76. Its notes address movement and collision softlocks, including getting stuck under the theater stairs. Older footage can therefore show a problem that the official notes later identify as fixed.

A softlock shown in an older recording is not automatically an intended puzzle step. Compare the build context before treating an unusual collision as part of the normal route. The patch reference is useful for troubleshooting, but it does not establish a new shortcut or a required movement trick.

Keep exact puzzle instructions separate

The verified demo order is straightforward, but the collected material does not document each intermediate solution. No supported box-office code, fuse sequence or final-chase button sequence is supplied. Those details need direct route evidence before they can become reliable instructions.
