Terrible Lizards Flashlight — Where Is It and Why It Matters

You get the flashlight in Chapter One by redeeming the second token. Climb the pillars in the Dilo Dash exhibit without touching the electrified floor, take the token at the far end, then head right from the exhibit to exchange it. You need the light soon after, in the dark gift shop basement.

Get the token in Dilo Dash

Dilo Dash is the exhibit with an electrified floor. Cross the yellow pipes in the alley, climb the pillars and follow the upper route. The token waits at the far end of that pillar path.

This is the second token of the chapter. The first, from the counter behind the employees-only keypad, opens the theater. Keep them straight if you are following another guide.

Redeem it for the flashlight

Drop down after collecting the token and head right from the exhibit. Use the token there to get the flashlight. It is not optional, because the next major area is too dark to search without it.

The first place you rely on it is the gift shop basement, opened with code 1903. There you collect three fuses while the mascot hunts you. Having the light ready keeps that sequence manageable.

A dinosaur-shaped novelty light

The flashlight fits the souvenir-shop theme: it is shaped like a dinosaur. Reviewers note it makes a fuzzy growling sound and casts a beam framed by the outline of teeth. It is a small detail that sells the 1992 roadside-attraction setting.

For the rest of the chapter, from the payphone to the Bronto chase, use the walkthrough page. The tape page explains the recordings you will find along the way.
