The man behind Dalton’s Dinos
Dalton built the attraction, a sun-bleached roadside museum of animatronic dinosaurs in 1992 New Mexico. The developers’ press material names him alongside Elena, who shares the paleontology work, and their son Dalton Jr. All three sit at the center of the mystery.
The store description frames the goal as finding the attraction’s missing owner and his son. That makes Dalton less a character you meet than a question you chase. Notes and tapes around the museum fill in who he was.

How you learn about him
Most of what you learn comes through environmental storytelling rather than cutscenes. Recordings, staff notes and Stella’s radio calls build a picture of the family and the business. The deeper you explore, the more of Dalton’s story you find.
The developers even named their pre-launch blog series Dalton’s Devlogs. It covered creature design, movement, levels and narrative. The name is a nod to the in-game founder, not a real person at the studio.
Spoiler: Dalton Jr. and Dennis
Stop here if you have not finished the game. Fan-maintained TV Tropes plot notes say Dalton Jr. had been talking to an imaginary friend called Dennis. That friend turns out to be the Dilophosaurus.
This reveal reframes the mascots and the creature you have been running from. The Dennis and Dilophosaurus pages cover it in more detail. The ending page explains how the family thread wraps up.
